Picture of woman who has lost weight

If you are looking to lose weight in 2014, it is very likely you have tried multiple other methods with varying success, including various diets/diet books, help and support from the NHS, joining a gym, joining a weight loss club, investing in hunger-suppressing food products, working with a nutritionist or pure willpower alone.

At Feel Good Hypnotherapy, we believe it is fundamental to achieve a healthy and strong connection between mind and body. In this day and age, too many of us are detached from the neck down and rarely if ever, talk to our bodies. We batter our bodies with poor food and drink choices, are hard on our body for not looking like a famous film/TV star, and never give it the due care and attention it deserves for all the hundreds of wonderful tasks it does every day without us consciously paying attention. By changing your relationship with your body in the unconscious part of your mind, where permanent change can take place, learning to accept yourself is the first step in a very powerful process of change. By also changing your relationship towards food, how your body uses it and listening to the needs of your body, we can work together to build a long term solution so you do not have to spend energy thinking about your diet, and more time getting on and enjoying life.

Hypnotherapy for Weight Loss will help you in many ways:

  • Reducing and eliminating the need to over eat

  • Coping with any stress management issues that may arise

  • Feeling more relaxed, calmer and serene

  • Removing the emotion from food and seeing food for what it is—a source of energy for the body

  • Turning any negative energies into positive energy, facilitating more focus and confidence in your life

  • Building a strong relationship between body and mind—being kinder, gentler and more nurturing to yourself

Hypnotherapy has a very high success rate with weight loss. For example, in 1986 in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, Cochrane and Friesen investigated the effects of hypnosis in weight loss for 60 females, who were at least 20% overweight. They found that an average of 17 lbs was lost by the group receiving hypnosis vs. an average of 0.5 lb was lost by the control group.
